The thought Active Rainbow put into creating a safer and braver space from phrasing to the selection of tools and exercises to the music in the background created an environment that encouraged and nurtured growth, learning, and creativity.

The project felt like a break from our own struggles. We felt comfortable and confident in a way that we haven’t felt in a long time. We were able to create without feeling like others were judging us, because no matter what we showed the group, they would cheer for us and celebrate us. It was a major confidence boost. The way the trainers used non-formal learning methods made it so that we were able to learn in a way that worked for us. We were able to stay focused and to interact with what was said for a full week, and not once did we feel tired in the same way as we would have felt after a full day of formal learning.

Together it made it so that we feel confident in the abilities that we have learned and we cannot wait to apply them in our local area. We left feeling exhausted and inspired, ready to take on the world.
