PRIDE BEGINS
One-month ESC Volunteering in support of local Pride events.
Active Rainbow is part of the co-organization of Riga Pride. Every year, the Baltic Pride festival takes place in one of the Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). In 2024, the festival will take place in Riga and it will welcome the local and international queer and allies community, for almost two weeks of celebration, raising awareness and advocacy activities.
During this volunteering program, volunteers have the chance to get a firsthand experience on how the Baltic Pride festival is organized. They get to be on the backstage of action and contribute in various ways to the festival activities, as well as to other online and offline activities, bringing your own sparkle and competencies in play.
Explore their way of activism and support the sustainability of community building here in Latvia. Living and learning about the culture and promoting solidarity, inclusivity, nurturance and equity. Learn from peers, local and international, exchange experiences and contribute to mutually inspiring and empowering each other.
