Eva and Miha:
Between 15th and 22nd July 2025, Eva and Miha participated in the IncludED: Queering Sexual Education training in Latvia, organized by the local queer organization Active Rainbow. The training was aimed at learning ways to make sex education more inclusive and diverse, and thus more relevant to minorities, with a special focus on the LGBTIQ+ community.
As part of the open space that was organised on one of the days, Eva had a workshop on chemsex and the concept of harm reduction, and Miha hosted a workshop on BDSM. Throughout the training many participants also approached Eva with questions about sexually transmitted infections and Miha about BDSM practices.
The training was useful from the perspective of learning about sex education practices in different European countries and the regional context that might influence it. A few new contacts with people from different organisations around Europe were formed which might turn out to be useful for future projects.
