This experience was my first ever Erasmus project and while intense, I believe it was a great choice for me. I got to learn and hear new perspectives on topics I was interested in. I was able to improve my time management with the projects we managed ourselves. I went out of my comfort zone and grew as a person in many ways. I would 100% recommend this project to anyone, young or not.

The project gave insight into what simple acts are in my life and how I can make a difference in the activism world. How I can participate in activism in my daily life. I would say that the experience in this project made me grow as a person in a way that I couldn’t ever imagine.

I am very happy to say that this was my first project because it was fantastic. This experience helped me learn what activism means to me and what kinds of activism are for me. I also fell in love with the community of such wonderful people who I built very strong connections during those 2 weeks. There I could truly be myself and no one judged me. I would recommend this experience 100%, the discoveries are mind blowing. Thank you! Thank you! Thank youuuuu!

Simple Acts was such a magical, transformative experience for me that words feel not enough to describe what I felt. The feeling of warmth I got while living together and sharing a space with other queer people is indescribable. I felt connected to the community on a deeper level this time, I felt so safe that I even want to compare it to the feeling of being at home. This journey has given me so much confidence in myself as a human being, as an artist and as an activist. I learned so much about love and friendships, how special it is when the right people show up into your life. The magic I felt there, I took home with me. All the love and care, it’s within me, in my heart with desire to spread it further into the world.🔆

This experience showed me how much detail there is to a person and if you only ask the right questions and respect people’s needs, anyone can feel seen and heard. It showed me how to make a space safer and more inclusive. Now I am using these learnings in my everyday life.
In this program I realised what kind of an environment I want to be in and who are the people I want to be surrounded by. I think this is the most valuable thing I will take away from the project.
Adding to that, I would describe this experience as eye opening. That is how I felt every day – as if my eyes would open more and more, and I would acknowledge how my view on the world is changing bit by bit.
I’m forever thankful for this experience and I definitely recommend this for anyone who is interested in having a quality time learning valuable information, that would be a great tool used in their work with youth.
